Circuit breaker safety lock is mainly used to prevent the sudden start of electrical equipment during maintenance and protection of personal safety. Oversize clamps and universal multipole breaker safety locks are also available. It should be noted that the circuit breaker lock only plays an isolation role. To lock the circuit breaker and mark the isolation state, it must be used in conjunction with the safety padlock and safety tag of LEDS.

Molded case circuit breaker lockouts are different from miniature circuit breaker lockouts
The difference between a molded case circuit breaker and a miniature circuit breaker: Both a miniature circuit breaker and a molded case circuit breaker belong to a circuit breaker and work on the same principle. The difference lies in: 1. The miniature circuit breaker installation way is the guide rail installation, the molded case circuit breaker is the screw installation; 2. The maximum current level of the miniature circuit breaker is within 63A, and the current level of the molded case circuit breaker is up to 2000A. The main point of the plastic case circuit breaker is basically only a switch handle, and the micro circuit breaker may have many poles, so decide its locking mode is not the same as the micro.

Electrical Breaker Lockout Device Usage

Due to the different structure of the circuit breaker safety lock, their installation and use methods are also different;
Push button type: there are three types: pin in, pin out and pin out wide; For miniature circuit breakers with holes on both sides of the handle, without any tools, just press the button to insert the bottom two pins into two holes of the circuit breaker, and then fasten the safety padlock and safety tag;
Tie-rod type: suitable for single-pole and multi-pole circuit breakers; During installation, the safety lock of the circuit breaker can be firmly clamped on the pull rod simply by tightening the black self-screw screw and then inserting the safety padlock to prevent the clamping device from loosening;
Screw type: the electrical breaker lockout device slot is stuck to the handle of the circuit breaker, then screw it down with a screwdriver to make it firmly clamped on the handle, and then insert the safety padlock; It is also applicable to single-pole or multipole circuit breaker, there are applicable to distinguish between miniature circuit breaker and molded case circuit breaker;
Self-screw type: the same as the screw-screw type is stuck to the handle of the circuit breaker. Due to its self-screw head, it can be tightened without screwdriver；
Clamp type: place the circuit breaker safety lock above the closing handle switch, make the black opening around the handle, bite the rocker from the bottom with small teeth; Rotate the screw wheel clockwise to fix the breaker lock on the rocker, and then insert the safety padlock. Usually used to lock single-pole molded case circuit breakers of various sizes;
Snap-type: circuit breaker switches with holes in some special switch handles.
